Privacy Policy
Effective July 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TeachWell AI handles information when teachers, schools, and districts use the service. We wrote it in plain language so it is easy to review.
1. Who we are
TeachWell AI is a software product provided by Reigny Day AI, LLC. When your school or district uses TeachWell AI, Reigny Day AI is the company that operates the service and is responsible for the information described in this policy.
2. Information we handle
We handle two kinds of information.
Teacher account details. This includes the teacher's name, work email, and the credentials used to sign in. It also includes basic usage information such as when a teacher signed in and which tools they used.
School information created inside the service. This includes lesson content a teacher drafts, grades a teacher enters, feedback drafts, and the content of parent messages a teacher prepares. A teacher may include information about students in these drafts. That information belongs to the school or district.
3. How we use information
We use information only to provide the service to the school. That means hosting a teacher's account, generating drafts the teacher asked for, saving work the teacher created, showing aggregated time saved figures, supporting the teacher when they contact us, and keeping the service secure and reliable.
4. What we never do
We do not sell student or teacher data. Ever.
We do not use student or teacher data for advertising.
We do not use student or teacher data for any non educational purpose.
We do not train AI models on student or teacher data. Drafts a teacher creates in TeachWell AI are not used to train the underlying models.
5. Student data and FERPA
TeachWell AI is designed to be FERPA aware. When a school or district uses the service, we act as a school official under the district's direction. We use education records only for the authorized purpose the district approved, which is to help teachers plan lessons, draft feedback, and communicate with families.
We do not redisclose education records to any third party, except to the subprocessors listed below that help us operate the service, and only as needed to provide the service to the district.
6. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Access to production systems is limited to authorized staff and is logged. Our hosting and data storage are located in the United States.
No system is perfect. If we ever learn of a security incident that affects a district's data, we will notify the district contact on file without undue delay.
7. Subprocessors
We use a small set of trusted third party services to run the product. These are called subprocessors. They are bound by contract to protect information and to use it only to provide services to us.
- Lovable, for application hosting and delivery.
- Supabase, for authentication, database, and file storage on our behalf.
- Our AI provider, for generating draft lesson plans, feedback, and parent messages requested by the teacher.
- Google Workspace, for internal business email and productivity.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as the school or district uses the service, and for a short period after, so accounts can be restored if needed. On the district's written request, we will delete the district's information, subject to any legal retention requirements.
A teacher may also ask us to delete their account. We will honor that request in coordination with the district.
9. Children's privacy
Accounts in TeachWell AI are for adults, meaning employees and authorized contractors of the school or district. The service is not directed to children, and children do not create accounts.
When a teacher includes student information inside their work in TeachWell AI, we handle that information as a school official under the district's direction, as described in the FERPA section above.
10. Access and choices
A teacher can review and edit the content in their account at any time from within the service. A district administrator may ask us to access, correct, export, or delete information about the district's teachers or students by contacting us at the address below.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated to the district contact on file.
12. Contact
